Do you want to ensure airport developments deliver the right solution at the right time? JCJ Consulting was created to deliver robust and high quality project initiation. It is clear that if a project has clear objectives and a benefits realisation plan at the outset, is fully understood by all of the stakeholders and all investigative work complete ahead of ‘Option decision’ - value and success at completion can be easily achieved.
JCJ Consulting believe that a complete understanding of the ‘need’, agreed by all interested parties at the outset resulting in a clear and succinct Business Case and a detailed Brief will ensure a successful project.
Our work covers all passenger facilities and airfield works and includes the delivery of :
We ensure that airport facilities meet the needs of their markets whilst being flexible enough to adapt to future change. JCJ's expertise lies in the ability to take the high level requirements from a client and shape them into an agreed affordable solution. JCJ provide a dedicated resource with the ability to engage stakeholders and work with delivery teams in a timely manner to ensure the requirements are clearly understood and developed into the right solution. The essence of great development management is getting the right solution to the right problem and keeping a commercial focus.
Great project initiation is about challenging assumptions and working with client teams to clearly articulate the project objectives. It is particularly focused on identifying key benefits of a solution at the outset. Following a proven process method the team can articulate the business case, options and ultimately prepare a robust Brief for the delivery teams against which project success can be measured.
JCJ can quickly and easily integrate into existing development teams to cover periods of absence or when workload dictates additional resource is needed. JCJ have undertaken this type of assignment at both Gatwick and Heathrow airports.
JCJ can support teams working on airport bids providing a client perspective in terms of writing and presenting. JCJ has been involved in bid preparation for Bouygues UK at Gatwick, Atkins at Gatwick and Heathrow and Jacobs Engineering at Manchester airport.

Jacqui's knowledge and competency in the challenging environment of airport development is of the highest standard' Jacqui is engaging, personable and takes true accountability for the quality and execution of the complex tasks that she is accountable for. Jacqui has excellent communication skills, is a team player and was a real asset to me, my team and Gatwick.
I worked with Jacqui Johnson whilst she held the position of Head of Development Strategy and Planning at Southampton Airport for BAA. Jacqui combined a well tuned business focus with her natural people skills in the delivery of the capital roll out programme of works at this significant international / regional airport. Jacqui maintained a truly professional approach that was always client focused and built upon her significant aviation sector exposure. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jacqui,
Jacqui did an excellent job as Senior Development Manager for the Pier 5 and 6 projects at Terminal 3, Heathrow. Both projects were very complex, were at the heart of T3 an extremely busy terminal and were in a politically charged, multi-stakeholder environment.
I worked with Jacqui on both Heathrow Terminal 5 and Terminal 2 projects. She displayed a very strong understanding of airports and the requirements for these and a strength in managing stakeholders. On the Terminal 2 project she managed the arrivals route including the relationship with UK Border Force and received very positive feedback.
I worked with Jacqui when she was at Southampton and Gatwick airports undertaking development and planning roles; Jacqui is very stakeholder focussed and has a good understanding of commercial issues. She is a good team player and a pleasure to work with
